Work Experiences/Areas of Interest
Dr. White is from Middleton, ID, and he has an interest in caring for families in rural areas through technology and collaboration between primary care and psychiatry. In his residency at the University of Arizona, he discovered an interest in working with the different teams involved in patient care and working to improve contact points between medicine and mental health teams or inpatient and community treatment.
Current Clinical Work:
Dr. White worked for a year in insurance, was the CMO for Optum Idaho, managing outpatient mental health benefits for Idaho Medicaid enrollees and addressing quality of care concerns with Medicaid providers. He currently sees kids and adults in the inpatient setting at St. Alphonsus and Cottonwood Creek and was recently made the director of ECT and quality and Cottonwood Creek
Education:
Dr. White completed a child and adolescent fellowship at the Boston Children’s Hospital/Harvard program and gained experience in state level advocacy and programs to train and support pediatricians in managing psychiatric conditions.
